We are a no-kill organization and we are not breed specific. We rescue and rehabilitate animals so they are adoptable. We place them in foster homes until they get adopted.
My daughter sent me a post about Rusty, a Shiba Inu whose daddy passed away, and Mommy isn’t able to care for him. I am very interested in adopting him. My beloved Jake (a Shiba Inu had a stroke back in November and passed away. I miss him greatly and would really like to have another Shiba. I am Retired and I am a stay at home sort of guy. I would love to volunteer to help with your organization. I am also in Canton,MI. Unfortunately I cannot take in any more animals, I have 2 chocolate Labs and my 5 year old can get dog aggressive. I went through classes to help out with the Humane Society of Detroit or Westland. They wanted me to go to different schools and give talks. Not what I wanted at the time. If there are different ways I can help please let me know. I am retired so I am available to help pretty much any week day except Tuesdays.
